Sleep Research Network

Overview

The Sleep Research Network (SRN) is intended to promote sustainable multi-institutional collaborations in clinical and translational research  that  address significant public health and mechanistic questions related to sleep medicine and circadian biology that require large-scale, coordinated, and multidisciplinary approaches, while also attracting and supporting the training of the next generation of sleep medicine investigators.  The network is currently comprised of researchers representing 40 of the current 60 CTSA institutions across the United States. As the network matures, it will broaden participation to include other organizations and partners outside of the CTSA sites. The primary goal of the Sleep Research Network conferences (supported in part by an R13 conference grant from the National Center for Research Resources, #RR028183) is to provide an ongoing forum for investigators and trainees from across the United States to meet for the purpose of:

  • 1) building a Sleep Research Network
  • 2) evaluating diagnostic and therapeutic technologies
  • 3) identifying opportunities for new lines of collaborative research and training
  • 4) leveraging resources available through local CTSAs to promote inter-institutional sleep and circadian medicine research
