Michael Strober, Ph.D., University of California at Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute, Los Angeles, CA

Michael Strober, Ph.D., is the Franklin Mint Endowed Chair in Eating Disorders, Professor of Psychiatry, and Director, Eating Disorders Program at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, and Stewart & Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, David Geffen School of Medicine. He received his BA from Queens College of the City University of New York and his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. His areas of research focus on risk factors underlying anorexia and bulimia nervosa, as well as the relationship between these conditions and other psychiatric phenotypes associated with anxiety, fear, and reward motivated behavior.
