Biographical Sketch
Cindy Urbano is the Research Data Coordinator for the Pathways
to Desistance Study. She joined the Law and Psychiatry Research Department in May, 2004, and is responsible for updating, cleaning and extracting Pathways data once it has been imported into SPSS. The data coordinator's job also includes the
organizaton of the directory system where the data resides, documentation and data analysis.
Cindy received a B.S. in Math Education from Slippery Rock University and an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to coming to UPMC, Cindy was employed for seventeen years by the University of Pittsburgh. Her first ten years in Computing & Information Services provided experiences in database and research computing support. Cindy's last seven years with the University were in the Learning Skills Center, first as a system's programmer managing departmental technology then later as the Math Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Program Coordinator.
