Biographical Sketch
Carol Schubert received her B.A. in Psychology and Theology from Wheeling Jesuit University and her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. She has worked in the Law & Psychiatry Research Department of WPIC since 1985.
Carol has served in various capacities on multiple studies over the years. She has worked with Dr. Mulvey on a series of studies focusing on the relationships between mental illness and violence. This series of studies culminated with the "Intensive Follow-up of Violent Patients" study, a ground-breaking project involving weekly interviews with a group of mentally ill subjects selected for their high potential for violence. She also served as project coordinator for the influential, multi-site "MacArthur Risk Assessment Study".
Carol is currently working with Dr. Mulvey and Dr. Cauffman as a Senior Program Coordinator for a large multi-site study called "A Prospective Study of Serious Adolescent Offenders", a project of the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Adolescent Development and Juvenile Justice.
