Conditions We Treat:

Overview:

The research at the DMDPP focuses on the following main areas of mental health:

Consider the following statistics1:

5.7 million    - The number of people in the United States who live with Bipolar Disorder
14.8 million  - The number of people in the United States who live with Major Depressive
                       Disorder

What is startling is that even though 57.7 million Americans (almost 1 in 4 adults) experience some form of mental health disorder in any given year, fewer than eight million seek treatment. However, numerous resources are available for these people. Our commitment to research we has made us an international leader in developing effective therapies.

These statistics are from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/the-numbers-count-mental-disorders-in-america/index.shtml
