About this site:

The Late-Life Depression Evaluation and Treatment Center provides information and treatment for depression, anxiety disorders, and insomnia in older Americans.  The center is directed by Charles F. Reynolds III, M.D., an internationally renowned researcher in depression, anxiety, and sleep.  Our center is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and we evaluate and treat people from all over the Tri-state area (Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and West Virginia).


The purposes of this site are:

1. Provide information to elderly individuals, their families and caregivers, and health care providers, on common geriatric mental health problems: depression , anxiety disorders, grief, and insomnia.

2. Provide a local referral source for elderly in the Pittsburgh area seeking treatment.

3. Provide links to to other internet resources for elderly individuals and their families and caregivers.

4. Provide information on the latest research into late-life mental health problems, both from this center and elsewhere.

5. Provide information on research opportunities at this center.
