CHIPS

career development
for

intervention, prevention,
and the provision of
services for
children and
adolescents.
CHIPS is funded through the NIMH Division of Services and Intervention
Research (DSIR), which supports two critical areas of research:
1.
Intervention
research to evaluate
the effectiveness of
preventive and treatment

Every summer,
the CHIPS Summer Research Institute is hosted in one of 6 sites, including
Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Baltimore, San Diego, Tempe, and Eugene, Oregon.
CHIPS fellows forge
mentoring
relationships with the CHIPS faculty, who help their fellows with developing and
meeting their
career objectives
and embarking on a
large-scale
research project.
Each
fellow receives a
travel award
to
visit
their
CHIPS mentor
and to
attend
one national academic
conference
during their fellowship year.
