Abstract
This
study involves behavioral lab testing in the Oxford Building at the
University of Pittsburgh, located across the street from the Exxon
station on Forbes Avenue in Oakland. There is parking available in the
building. The participants will do a series of cognitive tasks on the
computer, a psychiatric interview, and paper and pencil tasks. We do IQ
screening and will enroll patients with IQs above 80. The entire
session takes about 2 1/2 hours and participants will be compensated $50
cash upon completion. There is an imaging component to my study
(functional MRI and diffusion tensor imaging), and we will begin this
project phase starting in July 2006 for participants who have
successfully completed the laboratory testing. A parent or guardian
must phone the recruitment line number on the flyer for confidential
screening. This study is approved by the Institutional Review Board of
the University of Pittsburgh and funded by the National Institutes of
Health.
