Directions to 7 Springs (777 Waterwheel Drive, Seven Springs, PA 15622): Seven Springs is located approximately one hour's drive southeast of Pittsburgh. It is easily accessible off exits 91 or 110 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Pittsburgh International Airport is the nearest metropolitan terminal.

By Car:

          From Pittsburgh Airport: exiting the airport, follow signs to Pittsburgh, continuing through the Fort Pitt Tunnel.  Stay in right lane after tunnel and exit first right Exit 6A to 376 (towards Monroeville).  Stay on 376 to end (13 miles - do not exit at Monroeville) and follow sign to Pennsylvania Turnpike- PA 76 (toll road) East towards Harrisburg.  Continue with directions from West below.

          From the West (Pittsburgh, Cleveland): take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA 76) east to exit 91, DONEGAL. Turn left off the exit ramp (Routes 711 and 31); approximately two miles, turn right on Route 711; follow 711 for about two miles; at the Star Market in Champion, turn left on County Line Road; follow the signs to Seven Springs (approximately eight miles) on the right.

          From the East (NY, NJ, MD, DC): take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA 76) west to exit 110, SOMERSET.  Turn right off the exit ramp at the second light; at the third traffic light turn right (Route 31, West); follow 31 West approximately seven miles; turn left at Pioneer Park; follow that road approximately four miles; at the first stop sign, turn right. Seven Springs will be five miles ahead on the left.

By Air : Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is served by all major airlines, and is the major entry to the Pittsburgh region.  Private car service or van service to the hotel may  be arranged through 7 Springs (details to follow).

    Car rental at Pittsburgh International Airport:  We have arranged a meeting rate of $20/day + fees through Payless Car Rental at Pittsburgh airport (4 days would total approximately $113 excluding optional insurance).  To reserve a car for rental, either call directly to 01-412-472-3100 or reserve at www.paylesscarrental.com and select the standard size car.  At the counter (or by phone), let them know that you are attending the Pupil Colloquium to obtain the meeting rate.  Reservations need to be made at least one week prior to the meeting.

    International visitors will need both 1) a Driver's License from their own country and 2) an International Driver's License (passport is not sufficient). See driving directions above.

    Direct transportation between Pittsburgh International Airport and Seven Springs: Cost of a car and driver for 2-3 people with normal luggage is approximately $150 each way.  Cost of a van and driver holding up to 8 people is approximately $200 each way.  These cars or vans must be arranged through the Travel Office at Seven Springs by telephone: 1-800-452-2223 extension 5000. 

Latrobe, PA: Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (LBE) currently has limited scheduled service with two flights per day each way connecting to Detroit (DTW) on Northwest/Delta.  Car/taxi service can be arranged to the hotel.

 (There is very limited train and bus service to Latrobe)

By Train: Amtrak rail service connects to the Latrobe, PA (LAB) and Connellsville, PA (COV) stations.  Car/taxi service can be arranged to the hotel.

By Bus: Latrobe, PA is served by Greyhound Bus lines from Pittsburgh or east coast cities.  Car/taxi service can be arranged to the hotel.
