Cash Assistance
Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF)

TANF is a welfare program for people with children.  Click here for information on eligibility, how to apply,

General Assistance (GA)

GA is a welfare program for people with no dependent children.  Click here for information on eligibility,
how to apply, and benefits.
      

Food Stamps
Food stamps are available for eligible low-income individuals and families to cover the cost of food intended
for human consumption (some restrictions apply to food purchases).
 

Unemployment Compensation
Unemployment compensation (UC) provides temporary income support for eligible individuals that have lost
their job through no fault of their own.

Social Security Disability Income
SSDI is administered by the Social Security Administration.  SSDI functions as a “safety net” for those
disabled and no longer able to work.

Credit Counseling
Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) provides free public seminars on credit counseling as well as
private, confidential budget and debt counseling and a Debt Management Program to help consumers repay
creditors.
