The
Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh
include the Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural History in
Oakland. The museums are open Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Suggested admission
for both museums is $15 for adults,
$12 for senior citizens, and $11 for children and children
under 3 are free. For a recorded message

and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tours by appointment.

The museum
houses an extensive collection of artifacts and memorabilia about
the life of the American composer. Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday
through Friday. Free admission; guided tours available for a
donation. The theater hosts drama, music, and dance, including the
Kuntu Repertory Theater (African American Theater), Pittsburgh Dance
Council, and University of Pittsburgh Theater Arts Department
