This 2 hour program by the faculty of the WPIC
Crisis Training Institute discusses Trauma
Informed Care in the context of crisis
prevention, crisis communication as means of
effective crisis resolution and reduction of
unintended trauma to the individual, and the
importance of Staff Resiliency and self-care
especially when working with individuals
reporting an extensive history of trauma. |

At the conclusion of the program, participants
should be able to:
1. Understand the impact of emotional trauma
in the context of crisis situations
2. Identify strategies and techniques for
effective crisis communication
3. Discuss the importance staff resiliency and
