Program Description:

This program will address the clinical presentation and epidemiology of bipolar disorder in children and adolescents. It will also discuss new information on the longitudinal course of child and adolescent bipolar disorder as well as recent advances in treatment.

Educational Objectives:

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the clinical features of bipolar disorder in children and adolescents

  2. Examine the features of the longitudinal course of child and adolescent bipolar disorder

  3. Discuss new treatment approaches for bipolar disorder in children and adolescents

Continuing Education Credit

Each program is offered for the designated number of continuing education credits

 

CERTIFIED ADDICTION COUNSELORS: CAC

Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, Office of Education and Regional Programming is certified by the Pennsylvania Chemical Abuse Certification Board (PCACB) to provide Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) continuing education credits for those participants attending the entire program. 

CERTIFIED PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION PRACTITIONERS:  CPRP

The 2.0 credit hours for this program can be applied to your training hours for the Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners (CPRP).

 

MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS: CEU

Nurses and other health care professionals are awarded the designated number of Continuing Education Units (CEU). One CEU is equal to 10 contact hours.

SOCIAL WORKERS:  SW
