Program Description:

This program will present reviews of the published scientific evidence in support of therapeutic strategies for adults and the elderly with common psychiatric disorders. The focus will be on unbiased evaluations of common practices, which may or may not have been evaluated in a scientifically acceptable manner.

Educational Objectives:

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

1. Review evidence for pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
2. Establish which practices have good scientific support for efficacy.
3. Recommend best practices for different types of psychiatric disorders.
 

Target Audience:

Clinical and research professionals, students, and trainees as well as interested family members and consumers.
