|
This
seminar will provide a combination of lecture and interactive demonstrations,
and experiential components to teach participants about using hypnosis and
hypnotherapy for adolescents and adults for anxiety and pain. Specific emphasis on the stages of hypnosis
(induction, deepening, trance-work, and termination), ethical use of hypnosis,
and different settings for using hypnosis (e.g., inpatient bedside versus
outpatient psychotherapy sessions) will be demonstrated. |

At the
conclusion of this program participants should be able to: 1.
Discuss the definition of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. 2.
Examine the stages of hypnosis. 3.
Describe applications of hypnotherapy with emphasis
on pain and anxiety. |
