WPIC COD Training Series: RECOVERY ORIENTED APPROACHES FOR PROVIDING INTEGRATED SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS

Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, Office of Education and Regional Programming (OERP) can present  an eleven-part series on recovery with individuals with co-occurring disorders (mental illness and substance abuse disorders). This training was developed in conjunction with the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) and the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs (BDAP) and will provide core competency-based training for professionals working with this population.

Instructors will include faculty and staff of WPIC and community professionals from the mental health and substance abuse field; all of who have considerable work and teaching experience related to co-occurring disorders. Professional continuing education certification including Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CADC/CCDP), and Licensed/Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LSW/LCSW, LPC/LMFT) credits will be offered for all programs.
