Stipend Payments

Undergraduates

If student qualifies, a stipend of approximately $7,500 will be provided for the fellow to support his/her participation in the program for a full year (Fall Term, Spring Term, and Summer Term).  It is expected that each student will complete all necessary coursework and lab work as stated in the Program Summary, to the satisfaction of the Program Directors and the student's Preceptor. Continuation of stipend payments is contingent on satisfactory participation, as judged by those mentioned.

Tuition Reimbursement

In cases where the student's tuition costs are not fully covered by scholarship funds, or other means, the program offers approximately $2,000 ($1,000 each semester for Fall and Spring) to help cover the cost of the required courses (Pitt 1032 and 1047).  These monies are reimbursement only, sent to the student after indication of payment by the
student to the University has been received.

Lab Fees

Upon special request, a modest sum (not to exceed $250) will be provided for some of the laboratory supplies necessary to carry out the student’s research project.
