AACP Member Launches Bilingual Mental Health Website www.alsofa.com is a bilingual (English-Spanish) mental health and well-being website targeted to the Hispanic consumer and the professionals who work with them. It provides linguistically correct and culturally sensitive educational information and resources. We are a non-profit organization and have been up and running (although without an "official" launch, yet) since June and have attracted a lot of attention. We have recently been featured in Latino.com, Latina magazine, America Online and in NYCs leading Spanish newspaper El Diario. We are receiving about 1,000 hits a week from all over the US and Central/South America. I would appreciate any interested AACP members to consider assisting us with potential content regarding Hispanic mental health issues or any other ideas, feedback, etc., especially regarding funding sources. We have underwritten the entire project to date and are now looking for funding/grants - so any thought, contacts or general comments are welcome. We are also seeking linkages, partnerships and endorsements from other agencies and would like to ultimately create a national resource directory of any and all service providers/agencies that deliver bilingual treatment to the Hispanic consumer. Thanks in advance for any help! Please spread the word. Please contact us at alsofa@alsofa.com or call us at 212-690-1161.Jorge Petit, MD
