announces a Fall Program:

What Happens When Children with FAS
Become Adolescents and Adults
The program will feature presentations by:

- An Overview of the Research on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
(This includes current research on adult populations.)
- Secondary Psychiatric Disabilities Associated with FAS: Their Impact on Adults and Implications for Services
We will also have short presentations from:
Charles Huffine, MD, Medical Director for Child and
Adolescent Program,
King County MHD, on diagnosing Alcohol Related Neurodevelopmental
Disorders in individuals who do not meet criteria for FAS.
Roberta Wright, Parent Advocate, on raising and FAS son to adulthood.
Alan Unis, MD, Associate Professor, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University of Washington School of Medicine on psychopharmacological approaches to treating FAS and related syndromes.
David Johnson, MD, Executive Director of Transitional Resoures, on planning for Residental and Psychosocial rehabilitation programs for Fetal Alcohol effected adults.
