University of Pittsburgh / Dr. Thomas Detre Senior Medical Student Award in Psychiatry

The Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is pleased to announce the seventh annual  Dr. Thomas Detre Senior Medical Student Award for advanced students planning a career within psychiatry. Awardees will have the opportunity to create a unique one-month clinical sub-internship or research experience with a faculty member of our department. Our clinical and research faculty are world renowned for contributions in pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, mood disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. This award includes a $1000 cash stipend to cover expenses. Application deadline is April 17, 2009.
